Pool Fencing Regulations on the Gold Coast

Pool fencing on the Gold Coast must comply with Queensland’s pool safety standard. Barriers generally need to be at least 1,200mm high, with gaps no greater than 100mm and a compliant non-climbable zone. Gates must open away from the pool and be self-closing and self-latching, with latches positioned at the required height. Pools and spas must also be registered with the QBCC, and fencing requires approval and inspection.

At Douglass Fencing, we install pool fencing with these requirements in mind, helping homeowners create a safe, secure and attractive pool area that meets applicable standards and provides lasting peace of mind.
